Delete your DRAIV account
Developer: Steininger AG, app "DRAIV" (iOS and Android) and draiv.ch
This page explains how you delete the account you use in the DRAIV app (iOS and Android) and on draiv.ch. The app and the website are operated by Steininger AG, the developer of DRAIV.
How to request deletion
Send us the request
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, or message us on WhatsApp at +41 77 456 99 05. Use the subject "Delete my account" and include the phone number you use in the app.
We confirm identity and request
We verify that the request comes from the account holder and confirm it within 2 working days.
Deactivation, then deletion
Your account is deactivated immediately. Personal data is deleted after a 30-day grace period, so an accidental request can still be reversed by contacting us within those 30 days.
What is deleted
After the 30-day grace period we delete:
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number and postal address
- Driving-licence images and verification data
- Saved payment methods (removed at our payment provider Stripe)
- Push notification tokens
- Favourites
- Chat history
What is kept, and for how long
- Booking and invoice records
- Kept for 10 years, as required by Swiss commercial and tax law (Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations).
- Open damage, fine or dispute cases
- Records needed for an open damage, fine or dispute case are kept until that case is closed.
- Analytics data
- Usage analytics are anonymised and can no longer be linked to you.
